About
We are raising money through 'Shit Bike Shoot-Out' to donate to charity and good causes.
This year, we are focusing on Pod Children's Charity - Pod is a nationwide charity which organises entertainment for children in hospital, providing joy and moments of lightness to families often going through the hardest times of their lives.
Shit Bike Shoot Out is a motorbike & travel challenge wherein participants must purchase a motorbike and make it road-legal for under £500. They must then travel as a group to a set route, stopping at points along the way to complete extra challenges, such as off-roading. All repairs and breakdowns must be achieved within the group.
The 2025 group are due to start their expedition on the 1st September in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. They will travel down the UK and go across the France, where they'll spend a week exploring Brittany (and parts shops!).

Charities
This year, we have chosen to support Pod Children's Charity.
From the Pod website:
POD Childrens Charity is a nationwide charity which organizes entertainment for children in hospital.
POD Childrens Charity helps to alleviate the trauma of a hospital
stay by sowing the seeds of fun, laughter and feeling better.
POD Childrens Charity magicians, puppeteers, musicians and clowns create smiles, happiness and bring joy to the lives of children in hospital. This is now recognised to be of crucial value to these children. They give monthly shows in over 150 hospitals and hospices
throughout the UK.
POD Childrens Charity has always believed that happy children get better quicker.
When POD was founded in 1977 hospitals gave little thought to the emotional needs of sick children.
In those days longer term hospital stays were more common.
Visiting times for parents were restricted and outside stimulus for children in hospitals was almost unheard of.
Times have changed dramatically and POD Childrens Charity is proud to have been part of the progress in the
thinking, attitude and approach to children in hospital.
